On Saturday, October 25, 2025, the Halifax Humane Society partnered with Subaru of Daytona to host the Fabulous Fall Pet Adoption Event, a day dedicated to giving local pets a second chance at a loving home. Families filled the Subaru of Daytona lot to meet adorable dogs and cats—all available for no-cost adoption, thanks to Subaru covering all fees. Several pets found their furrever homes, leaving in the warm, caring arms of families excited to love them for a lifetime. Through events like this, Subaru of Daytona and the Halifax Humane Society show the power of community and compassion. By removing barriers to adoption and offering support for families taking a pet home, they ensure that each animal finds not just a house, but a forever home filled with love.

At the Charles L. and Miki N. Grant Cancer Center for Hope, every patient faces the challenges of treatment with courage—but sometimes a small act of comfort can make a big difference. That’s why Subaru of Daytona, through the Subaru Loves to Care initiative, presented 80 cozy blankets to share with patients. Seeing these blankets—soft, warm, and ready to wrap around someone in need—brought smiles not only to the patients, but to the hearts of everyone involved. Each blanket is more than just fabric; it’s a hug, a reminder that the community cares, and a little spark of hope on a difficult day. For Subaru of Daytona, giving back is about more than donations—it’s about the joy and connection that come from helping others feel cared for. Sharing these blankets reminds us that small gestures of kindness can warm hearts just as much as they warm bodies.

Every spring, the Daytona Beach community comes together for a tradition that celebrates wagging tails, second chances, and the unbreakable bond between people and pets. Brownie’s Mutt Strut, presented by Subaru of Daytona, is more than just a “Walk for Animals”—it’s a joyful reminder of how compassion can ripple through an entire community. At the scenic Riverfront Esplanade, dogs proudly lead the way as their humans follow along the waterfront route, raising life-changing funds for animals who turn to the Halifax Humane Society for safety, care, and hope. It’s a day filled with laughter, happy barks, and the sense that everyone—two-legged and four—belongs. This year’s event took place on May 3, 2025. Through events like Brownie’s Mutt Strut, Subaru of Daytona supports the Subaru Loves Pets initiative, which is dedicated to helping pets and their families live happier, healthier lives. By raising awareness and funding for local animal organizations, Subaru continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of animals and the people who love them.

For millions of children and adults experiencing homelessness and other urgent need situations across the country, even here in Daytona Beach, this is a harsh reality. Helping others strengthens communities, which is why Subaru of Daytona is partnering with Operation Warm®, a national nonprofit focused on connecting children with the resources they need to thrive. Through this partnership and other Subaru Loves to Help® efforts, Subaru and retailers like Subaru of Daytona have helped nearly 900,000 children and adults in urgent need. On 01/23/2025, Subaru of Daytona donated 120 coats to Halifax Urban Ministries. These essential items not only help keep children protected, warm, and dry, it can have a significant impact on a child's mental and emotional well-being.

This collaboration is part of Subaru's Love Promise initiative, which encourages the community to support the shelter through donations, volunteering, and adoption, while also highlighting affordable spay and neuter services for local pets. The Halifax Humane Society is dedicated to rescuing and rehoming animals in need, and Subaru’s campaign brings attention to their efforts, including affordable spay and neuter services that help control the pet population and promote the health of pets. The commercial encourages viewers to contribute in any way they can, whether by donating, volunteering, or adopting. “Subaru’s Love Promise is all about supporting our communities, and we’re honored to work alongside the Halifax Humane Society,” said a Subaru of Daytona representative. “We hope to inspire others to get involved, whether through adopting a pet, offering time as a volunteer, or contributing to the cause.” With Subaru of Daytona’s ongoing support, the Halifax Humane Society continues its important work of rescuing animals, providing affordable spay and neuter services, and connecting pets with loving families. Jackets of Joy: Subaru’s Winter Donation to Hope Place - S. G
Simply amazing! It's so heartwarming to hear that Subaru of America, in partnership with Subaru of Daytona, continues to make a positive impact year after year through the Love Promise initiative. In January, approximately 200 winter jackets were donated to the children of Hope Place. Hope Place provides emergency housing for up to three months for over 100 families with children each year. Families are offered a safe place to stay, daycare for children, three meals a day, tutoring, life skills and budgeting classes, and case management. Halifax Urban Ministries does such important work in the community, and this kind of support makes a big difference, especially for families who may be struggling during the colder months. It's wonderful to see how Subaru not only focuses on the quality of their cars but also on improving the lives of people in the communities they serve.

Spectrum’s Employee Community Grant Program demonstrates how businesses can empower their employees to make a tangible impact on their communities. Spectrum account executive Vicki Farrell noted that Halifax was chosen because Subaru of Daytona partnered with Halifax on a commercial to raise awareness, and Spectrum employees saw the organization's impact firsthand during the project. Halifax Urban Ministries stated that since the airing of the combined efforts of the commercial donations have exceeded 2024 expectations. Halifax Urban Ministries' focus on efficiently using donations, with 94% of funds going directly to programs and services, highlights their dedication to addressing food and housing insecurity effectively. The $7,500 donation will significantly benefit families in need, particularly seniors struggling with rising living costs. Efforts like this show how partnerships between corporations and nonprofits can address critical local challenges while fostering a sense of community involvement among employees.

This gesture reflects Subaru’s commitment to giving back to the community and showing care for those facing challenging health battles. The Subaru Loves to Care program focuses on providing warmth, comfort, and compassion to those fighting cancer. By donating these blankets, Subaru of Daytona hopes to offer a sense of comfort to patients undergoing treatment at Halifax Health Cancer Center. A soft, warm blanket can provide much-needed physical and emotional warmth during treatments that are often difficult and exhausting. Through this donation, Subaru of Daytona aims to provide comfort and show support to patients at the Halifax Health Cancer Center during their fight against cancer.
